For my monthly DIY party planning over at Established California, I chose to do a fun spread on getting your girlfriends together to create not your ordinary gingerbread house…but a SPARKLY one using glitter, gold, and washi tape! I wanted to think outside of the norm and create a more themed party using red, green, and white candies instead of the usual colorful assortment that comes with the kit.
Now, for some washi fun! We washi tape everything…presents, cards, boxes, etc., and since it’s so easy to pick some up ($1 bins at Target and even Scotch makes some) why not washi a gingerbread house which is less messy and more fun to decorate with! There are so many fun colors and prints right now at Target so it’ll be easy to find which ones you want to set up and buy.
