Tour de Sparkles

Every morning we started the day with a croissant, bread, or pastry of some sort!  It must be the butter they use in France, because the breads were so light and fluffy and the butter literally just melted in your mouth!  I’ve researched and bookmarked a ton of places that we HAD to try- but unfortunately, there wasn’t enough time in the day to eat everything that we wanted to eat…so I was bummed that we missed a couple of spots…but that just means we have to visit again soon, right?!

Our day was jammed pack with eating, shopping, eating again, and ending the day with a trip to Le Bon Marche! Le Bon Marche is a beautiful department store that had a huge summer sale during the entire month of July (lucky we were there).  I scored some Isabel Marant boots ($90) and a pair of leather Heschung shoes…along with some LV goodies too! Woo hoo!

While walking back to our hotel, we came across a pastry shop called Hugo & Victor.  They are known to have the best macaroons so of course I had to give it a try!  OMG! It really was amazing!! I had the earl grey and grapefruit and by far the grapefruit was the best!  It was super soft and moist and wasn’t too sweet at all.  I wish we could’ve gone back the following day, but it was quite a ways from where we were going so I had to settle on buying a couple more for the road.

This day was quite an adventure from beginning to end and I loved every minute of it!
