Sparkles for All

I know I always say that living in Downtown LA is the greatest, BUT it really is!!?!  And today was proof that it’s only getting better because Vivian Chan was showcasing her amazing collection at Alchemy Works in the Arts District this afternoon!  The space was super cute with balloons to greet us and sweet treats from Sweet Clementine’s Popsicles.  The ultimate flavor was her watermelon+lime+cayenne which tasted super fresh and had a little caliente flavor!

I  met Vivian Chan and OMG, she was a sweetheart!!  She was super friendly and couldn’t have been more charming and sweet!! Her collection was filled with pastels and just everything pretty!  It was great to see the texture and flow of her skirts and dresses and I can’t wait to order one for myself!

After the summer social, we headed down to the new restaurant on Mateo Street- Zinc Cafe & Market.  It’s a super cute indoor/outdoor spot and we ordered a Potato Pizza and Asparagus Sandwich which was pretty good- but a little on the salty side.  This is a good spot for vegetarians because a lot of their items are meat free!  If you’re in the area, come by and support the new restaurants popping up in the Arts District and grab a drink at their new bar located in the back of the restaurant.
